OPEN CALL AUDITIONS FOR THE LILY'S REVENGE

Southern Rep, in collaboration with Allways, Cripple Creek and Mondo Bizarro will be holding auditions for Taylor Mac’s THE LILY’S REVENGE on January 28 & 31, 2012. Over 42 citizens of various age, race, gender, and experience levels will be cast for the October 2012 multi-act, multi-venue production. An informational session will precede the auditions on January 28; performers, designers, and creatives of ALL mediums (especially those who embrace New Orleans carnival spirit) are encouraged to attend for more information about what NYTheatre.com calls “the most important event of the theater season”.
THE LILY’S REVENGE is an Act of Community Theatre bringing together citizens, performers, and artisans of all levels, ages, races, genders, benders, professionals and interested parties. We have been working on producing this play in New Orleans for over two years, and are pleased to announce that at last we are ready to get to work with our fabulous collaborators. With a cast of 40-plus LILY also will involve dozens of designers, a cadre of directors, musicians and tech staff. This isn’t just “putting on a show,” this is theatrical spectacle and celebration in its wildest purest form. The show will happen in several venues and will be an event not to be missed.

Saturday, Jan 28 at 2pm-5pm & Tuesday, Jan 31 at 6pm-9pm: Open Auditions

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Audition sides will be provided. Actors should bring a headshot and résumé. Availability for rolling rehearsal schedule July-October 2012 will be requested.

Southern Rep hosts the annual City-Wide auditions (usually held in June). Information regarding City-Wide auditions will be posted to this page at least three weeks in advance of the auditions. We do accept headshot and resume submissions year round.
