What is the instructor/child ratio?

In classes, approximately 10 to 1.  Usually this runs a little lower in pre-care and after-care (more in the range of 7 to 1).

How many kids typically are in each production?

There will be 20 to a maximum of 30 kids in each session. Some roles will be double cast to make sure we make sure each camper gets to shine!

Do the campers audition for roles?

The kids do audition - in a very friendly, supportive, learning environment.

Have the directors/instructors been named yet?

Not yet.  They will be local theatre professionals and educators.

What about parking or picking up/dropping off?
We ask parents to come in on the first day for a short orientation.  We encourage you to park in the indoor Canal Place mall parking.  We are able to validate parking for up to four hours, so that it's just $2 to park.
After the first day, we arrange for a drop off and pick up location on Iberville Street, though campers/parents MUST BE ON TIME to take advantage of this option.

Is the class fee all inclusive or will there be more expenses?

The only additional cost is tickets to the performances.  These will be available at $10 each.  You may also choose to order a DVD of the final performance, also available at $10 each. Also, parents are responsible for their child's costume not to exceed $25 and their make-up for the show.

Are the children that participate in this program typically children who have never done a stage performance? Or do experienced kids sign up, too?
There is a real mix.  Among the younger kids, it probably leans more toward first time, but we really get a bit of every range.

What do the kids need to bring?

Campers should bring a lunch and a water bottle. Campers who participate in after-care should bring an additional snack.
