Grounding and Grooving

This dance-based experience teaches movements and exercises which can be used to feel more present and grounded. Take some time to calm your mind and connect with your body. Guided by Meaghan McCarthy and Rachel Van Kirk.
Meaghan McCarthy: Meaghan is working towards her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University and has been dancing all her life. Currently a member of the Nola Chorus Girls, she has been swing and jazz dancing for six years, with a focus on solo improvisational and large group formation dancing.
Rachel Van Kirk: Rachel grew up in the world of dance and theatre, and now uses her passion for the arts as a method of self-care. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Philosophy and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
