SRC 2019

Southern Rep Theatre is looking for hardworking, joyful, self-motivated individuals to join our 2019 Summer Intern Company. Members of the Intern Company, will get an in-depth, well-rounded experience working hands-on in a professional non- profit theatre.

Intern Company members will work alongside theatre professionals and receive practical training in multiple facets of theatre production and administration. They will serve as Teaching Artists for our Summer Camps, Performers & Stage Managers for our summer children’s show KNUFFLE BUNNY, and Creators & Producers of an original Showcase performance for local theatre professionals.

Timeline and Compensation

The Southern Rep Intern Company program will run May 21- August 4, 2019. Interns will work approximately 32 hours per week in rehearsal/production and summer camps, with additional responsibilities including weekly check-in meetings, Master Classes, and more.

All Interns will receive a $800 stipend (paid in two installments) as well as Master Classes led by theatre professionals and networking opportunities.

This internship has brought me life-long friendships and major networking.

Additional weekly compensation is available for running Before- and After-Care for our summer camps. Interns are also eligible to receive college credit. Interns are responsible for providing their own housing.

Commitment

The Southern Rep Intern Company program will run May 22-August 5, 2018. Interns will work approximately 30 hours per week in rehearsal/production and summer camps, with additional responsibilities including weekly check-in meetings, Master Classes, and more.

Personal statement outlining your goals and interests

Video audition (1 minute comedic monologue and 32 bars of a song)

Applications are due by April 7, 2019. All applicants will interview In-person or via phone with the Associate Artistic Director. Applicants will be informed no later than April 26.
