A full day of new plays! The inaugural 4D cohort presents staged readings of three new plays developed through the 4D program:

Plays will be presented at the Lower Depths Theatre on Loyola University’s campus. There will be refreshments and opportunities to talk with the dramatists, directors, and dramaturgs between each show. We will also have a celebratory toast at the end of the series!

When their mother unexpectedly dies, siblings Todd, Lysa, and Zoey gather in their childhood home to plan the funeral. The past meets the present as they deal with their grief and the issues at the heart of their family. As they realize what their mother truly meant to them, they must each learn to finally grow up.

Dot has cancer. She goes home to tell her mother she’s dying, but Mom doesn’t want to hear it. Before she can break the news, Dot goes flying through the windshield of her car into a odd new world filled with lipstick, Furies, tumors named Tippy, and carwash donuts.

THE WITCHES TOWER

17th Century. Germany. Four Women, shunned and hunted by villagers, are imprisoned in a tower for witchcraft. As they await their fate and battle their demons, an old Crow perched in the rafters keeps a watchful eye.
