SOUTHERN REP’S HOUSEWARMING HAS BEGUN!
GRAND OPENING: JANUARY 2019
Southern Rep Theatre has opened its doors to the public in its new home in the former St. Rose de Lima Church building on historic Bayou Road! Part of the Rose Collaborative, the new Southern Rep Theatre is a three-stage theater complex featuring a state-of-the-art flexible Mainstage, a Lagniappe Stage with bar/café, the Hal Brown Outdoor Community Stage for free public performances, administrative offices, and the Rose Studio education & rehearsal room.
Although we have finally settled into this beautiful building after six years on the road, our work is by no means complete! We are in the middle of our capital campaign to finish equipping and furnishing the space in order to produce the highest quality performances and programs for our audiences and community. Now that we are truly home, you can make it known that you have been part of this journey!
We can finally offer you the opportunity to have your name on a chair, on the wall, or over one of our stages! Show your commitment to Southern Rep’s permanent home by taking advantage of one of naming opportunities; contact Director of Philanthropy Charlotte D’Ooge at 504-444-8208 for a full list!
Don’t miss your chance to name a chair! We have only 125 seats in the Mainstage, and many have already been named. Click here to name your chair today!
You have stood by us and supported us, inspired and challenged us, but always you have remained steady, stalwart, and strong. For that we will be forever grateful. As we look to the future we will be calling on you to be part of the cornerstone as we build our new home. We know you are as ready as we are.
