Set in 1964, THE LAST MADAM finds an aging Norma Wallace, still glamorous and still formidable, in the middle of a turf war between District Attorney Jim Garrison and Police Chief Joe Giarrusso. With stormy and unfamiliar winds blowing through the Quarter, Norma - like any true New Orleans lady - knows that throwing a party might be the best solution to her problems. Scheming, cajoling, and threatening, Norma brings an entire arsenal of feminine charm and ruthlessness to bear in her attempts to control not only of her legendary whorehouse at 1026 Conti Street, but her very future. A self-proclaimed 'captain of industry,' Norma tries defiantly to resist the machinations of time. Friends are few, enemies emerge unexpectedly, and the New Orleans she loves is changing before her very eyes.Warning: This play contains adult language and adult situations.
