“How is it that reporters in trucks are slow driving past the crowds and the government isn’t there? The police aren’t there? The National Guard isn’t there? Where IS everyone?”
We were abandoned. As our city flooded in the days after Katrina, those who were left behind were forced to fight for their survival. THE BREACH tells their story. Written collectively by three playwrights, it weaves together two intimate stories of life in the aftermath with that of a reporter who discovers that levee breaches and government negligence are old hat in New Orleans.
